Many working parents in the UK are desperate to find good quality childcare at an affordable price. Yet these services can be like gold dust, particularly for primary school-aged children. Sherpa Kids – an international company that runs before and after school clubs and holiday activities in schools and other community facilities – is helping to solve this problem by expanding its services across the UK.

Sherpa Kids, which has some 100 franchises worldwide and looks after around 5,400 primary school-aged children every day. Sherpa Kids England have clubs predominantly in and around the London area, along with Eddington Primary School in Cambridge and Barley Mow Primary School in Gateshead. Here, it educates and entertains children with a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, music and drama, sport and games, cooking and technology. Many activities are based on specific themes, such as the circus, recycling, sporting events and space, and they are tailored to fit in with the individual requirements of the schools and their curriculums. More than 80 themes have been prepared, equating to more than two and half years of fun and educationally engaging activities.

  • "... they are forward thinking, and understand the importance of linking with the local community, as well as offering children the chance to learn about other communities from around the world, including their original home back in Australia. Sherpa Kids are highly professional and do everything possible to provide a seamless transition between school, childcare and parents. Nothing is too much trouble and the communication between school and Sherpa, both the team on the ground and behind the scenes, is brilliant." - Sue Attard (Principal) & Aimee De La Salle (Vice Principal) Hatfield Community Free School.
